The Wines

Two wines. One approach.

Fresh, balanced, and created for the table.

  • Cavalière Claire Series, Ricci Vineyards, Los Carneros, Sonoma County

2025 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Silver Medal Winner

2025 North Coast Wine Challenge Silver Medal Winner

A long, cool growing season allowed for slow ripening and the preservation of natural acidity—resulting in a Chardonnay that is fresh, balanced, and structured.

Aromas of citrus, green apple, and subtle orchard fruit lead into a focused palate with bright acidity, clean structure, and a light mineral edge. Aging in neutral French oak and stainless steel adds texture without weight, keeping the wine precise and food-driven.

Enjoyable now for its freshness and clarity, with a balance that will develop gracefully over time.

  • Elevated Surface Series, Ricci Vineyards, Los Carneros, Sonoma County - Library Wine

The grapes ripened late in the season, with harvest extending into October. A power outage at the winery required hand sorting and whole cluster transfer into fermentation bins—resulting in a semi-carbonic fermentation from within the berry.

This approach brought aromatic lift and natural elegance to the wine. After a long, slow fermentation, it was gently pressed and aged for 14 months in barrel.

Bright and expressive, with fresh dark cherry, plum, and violet, layered with a subtle five-spice note. Soft, round tannins, balanced acidity, and a refined structure.

  • Elevated Surface Series, Ricci Vineyards, Los Carneros, Sonoma County

2025 North Coast Wine Challenge Silver Medal Winner

A warm, dry growing season allowed for full ripening while preserving freshness—resulting in a wine that is balanced, expressive, and precise.

Aromas of Morello cherry, red plum, and gentle spice lead into a refined palate with bright acidity, soft tannins, and a subtle mineral edge. Partial whole cluster fermentation adds lift and complexity, while aging in neutral French oak keeps the wine focused and pure.

Enjoyable now for its vibrancy and finesse, with the structure to age beautifully over time.
